{"id":31,"date":"2026-03-31T00:30:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T00:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ipg2026.cwdf.ca\/?page_id=31"},"modified":"2026-04-22T17:55:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T17:55:12","slug":"competitors","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/igp2026.cwdf.ca\/index.php\/competitors\/","title":{"rendered":"Competitors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FCI-IGP 1 to FCI-IGP 3 levels are offered at the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enter the 2026 CWDF IGP National Championship as a Canadian citizen\/resident handler, dog <strong>must be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)<\/strong>*, and handler and owner must be members of the CWDF member breed club for the breed of their dog** (<a href=\"\/{localLink:umb:\/\/document\/c969368cc60e49eabbc5363bc5dd96a6}\">http:\/\/cwdf.ca\/member-clubs\/<\/a>).\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a non-Canadian citizen\/resident, dog must be registered with an FCI-recognized registry, or be listed as a mixed breed. Handler must be a member of their national breed or all-breed club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enter at a given level, a dog must be eligible to trial at that level, meaning a dog can pass a new title during the event. For example, to enter at the IGP 3 level, the dog must have successfully&nbsp;passed the IGP level 2 title prior to the championship. To enter at IGP 2 level, the dog must have an IGP 1 title, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entries close May 28. Entry fee CAD $275, early bird discount until April 30 at $225. Pay by e-transfer to schiposport@gmail.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-1-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">Registration (opening April 2nd, 2026, closing May 28, 2026):&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.caniva.com\/event\/22726\/participate\">https:\/\/www.caniva.com\/event\/22726\/participate<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>* if residing in Canada, with the exception of mixed breed dogs or breeds not recognized by the CKC, such as the White Swiss Shepherd.
